Stumbling block to guidance

Ezekiel 14:4 therefore, this is what the sovereign Lord says.  when any of the Israelites set up Idols in their heart and put a wicked stumbling block before their faces and then go to a prophet,  I the Lord will answer them myself in Keeping with their great idolatry.

The Israelite were often torn between their devotion to God and their attraction to foreign gods and practices.

The people that allow their heart to be corrupted by influence that diverted their Force from a true God. The Lord declared to his people that those who inquire of him while still clinging to their Idols we receive an answer based on their idolatry.

He want a heart sincerely dedicated to him and not a divided heart. Today scripture emphasizes personal accountability in our spiritual journey.

It reminds us that we cannot approach God with divided heart and expect genuine communion. Rather we must examine ourselves and identify what we hold dear.

Today we are called to reflect on our priorities and Influences that shape our decisions.

We must be vigilant against anything that seeks to take the place of God in our heart.

God is ready to respond to us, but he requires sincerity and commitment. As we strive for a closer relationship with him, let us reject the idols that may cloud our vision's and hinder our spiritual growth.

We must strive to keep our heart aligned with the divine purpose and embrace the life that God intended for us.

Let us take this opportunity to renew our commitment to Him and  ensure that our heart remain free of anything that could obstruct our path toward  spiritual fulfillment.

Gracious lord, give me the grace to have a heart sincerely devoted to you. AMEN.
