2Chronicles20:29 And the fear of God came on all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel.
Today's text recounts how the fear of God fell upon surrounding nations when they heard how the Lord fought against his real enemies.
King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah had face to vast army.
Instead of relying on their strength, they sought God through prayer and fasting, the Lord instructed them to stand still and see His salvation.
When they obeyed, God himself set ambushes and the enemy destroyed one another.
The result was peace and reverence for God among all nations.
Theologically, this text highlights God's supremacy in battles in the testimony that his mighty works in the lives of his chosen people are impactful among unbelievers.
A child who sees his father defend him against bullies walks in confidence, while those bullies hesitate to trouble him again.
Similarly, when God fights for His people, their enemies are silenced.
For believers today, this means trusting God for his intervention in our battles, whether spiritual, financial, or emotional.
When we allow God to lead, His victory testifies to others and draws them to his power.
Therefore, our part is to trust, obey, and worship him, while He secures the outcome.
God's deliverance is not just for our peace but also for his glory before the nations.
As we yield to him, others will fear him and acknowledge His power in our lives as when they hear our testimonies.
Our lives can be a testimony that will cause other to reverence God.
Dear Lord fight, my battles and let your mighty works in my life bring glory to your name.
