Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron will clash for the unified super welterweight world title on August 29 at BP pulse Live Arena in Birmingham, headlining most valuable promotions MVPW-06 event.
The card will be broadcast live on sky sports and features an all-female lineup of UK vs USA match-up.
TITLE UNIFICATION AT 154IBS
The UK's WBO champion Cameron (22-1, 8 KOs) takes on the USA's unified WBA and WBC champion Mayer (22-2, 5 KOs). All three belts will be on the line in the 10 round, two minute round contest.
Cameron captured the WBO title in April with a dominant win over Michaela Kotaskova a belt Mayer previously held before vacating. Mayer now aim to reclaim it while defending her WBA and WBC titles.
Cameron said "I'm over the moon this fight has been made, I've always said i want the biggest fights in women's boxing, and there isn't a bigger fight right now than me against Mikaela Mayer."
Mayer added: "Cameron has always been a name I've wanted on my resume. With our come-foward, aggressive styles, I have no doubt it will be one of the most exciting fights of our generation."
DUBOIS RETURNS IN CO-MAIN EVENT
The co-main event features UK unified WBC and WBO lightweight champion Caroline Dubois (10-0, 5 KOs) defending her titles against American challenger Amelia Moore (8-1, 3 KOs). The bout will also be contested over 10 rounds two minute rounds at 135lbs.
"I'm excited to be fighting at home in the UK again, the goal is to fight for more belts by year's end, so I need to take care of business with a big win in Birmingham." Dubosi said.
UK vs USA Theme
Every bout on the MVPW-06 main card pits a UK fighter against a USA opponent. MVP co-founder Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian called it one of the most important fights that can be made in boxing.
Mikaela and Chantelle have consistently sought the toughest challenges Chantelle is one of the best of women's boxing. Mikaela is one of the sport's biggest faces. This will be a fight of the year contender.
THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM FOR MAYER
Mayer's only two pro losses have come in the UK, a split decision to Alicia Baumgardner in London in 2022 and another to Natasha Jonas in Liverpool in 2024. Since then, she moved up to super welterweight and dominated Mary Spencer in October to win the WBA, WBC, and WBO titles.
"I know i haven't had the best luck in the UK, but that hasn't deterred me, i love fighting over there. The energy is always great. I'm just going to have to go and get it done this time. Three's a charm!", Mayer told sky sports.
