A CONCERN OVER REJECTING GOD

Jeremiah 32:33 They turned their back to me not their faces, though i taught them again and again, they would not listen or respond to discipline.

Today's passage laments isreal's stubborn rejection of God. Despite his patient teaching and repeated call to repentance, they turned their back and ignored His voice.

The image of turning one's back illustrates deliberate rejection.

God's grief is evident that he had spoken again and again, in persistent correction and love, but they hardened their hearts.

This observation underscores the tragedy of spiritual stubbornness and the danger of ignoring God's discipline.

Nevertheless, God did not give up on calling the attention of his chosen to the need of returning to him.

He was never tired of speaking to them repeatedly waiting patiently to see if one day they would repent.

Though he had punished them, He was willing to restore them whenever they would return to Him.

Many of us today still resist God's repeated voice.

He speaks through the scriptures, our conscience, sermons, and circumstances, yet we choose convenience over obedience.

God is really concerned about how we persistently rejected Him.

He patiently warns us to return to Him in humility and genuine repentance.

We should know that ignoring God's guidance leads to destruction.

He has given us enough chances for repentance.

Each time we hear His word is a new opportunity to respond. He has corrected us several times through discipline.

True strength lies in humility as well as the willingness to listen and turn our faces toward Him.

Stubbornness weakens, but obedience strengthens.

So, when we ignore God, we do that at our own peril.

Strenght is found not in resisting God's voice but in turning our face toward his loving instruction.

Loving father, help me to walk in humility and obedience to your word.
