Making decision out of fear

Genesis 19:32. Let's get our father to drink wine and then sleep with him and preserve our family line through our father.

Lot's daughters were brought out of the city of sadom shortly before it destruction by fire-and-brimstone.

They were likely pledged for marriage in Sodom, their husbands to be dismissed the warning of lot, and they perished Genesis 19:14.

Consequently, Lot's daughters were afraid they would not get any man to marry them.

This fear took control of their decisions.

They devised a desperate plan to get pregnant by their father, their actions were not only morally wrong but carried consequences that stretched for generations, producing nations that stood in opposition to Israel.

What seemed like a solution in the moment created a legacy of conflict.

Desperation blinded them to the fact that God had preserved their lives for a greater purpose.

Fear still tempts us to make rash choices when the future seems uncertain.

In seasons of waiting shortcuts look attractive, but they are never safe.

There is a story of a man in china who cut off his finger after being bitten by a snake, doctors later revealed that the snake was not venomous and such drastic action was unnecessary.

Fear driven decisions may bring temporary relief, but leave behind lasting pain.

God does not need is to manipulate outcomes.

He calls us to trust his wisdom and wait for his timing. True strength is refusing to let fear write your story.

Instead, let faith lead you believing that God is already working out your future.

When you feel cornered, don't compromise, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord almighty.

Almighty father, deliver me from wrong choices birthed in fear Amen.

fear creates shortcuts, but faith builds Sodomlasting testimonies.
